March 21, 2010 1:30-3PM Bendheim Western Greenwich Civic Center, Community Room Patty Carver of Connecticut Children's Theater, performing as Mother Nature teaching pre K to 2nd graders about the importance of forests and trees, composting, recycling and keeping the air clean and water safe. It will be a fast paced, entertaining and fun presentation with music and lots of audience participation. April 8, 2010 7 PM Bruce Museum Connecticut Notable Tree Program We hope for interested residents attending this program to agree to work on a Notable Tree Program for the Town of Greenwich to be led and directed by our Town Tree Warden Bruce Spaman. Mr. Dreyer is an adjunct Associate Professor of Botany at Connecticut College and the author of the books Connecticut's Notable Trees and Greening Connecticut Cities & Towns: Managing Public Trees and Community Forests. April 25, 2010: Byram Park May 23, 2010: Montgomery Pinetum October 24, 2010: Bruce Park Sunday, November 15, 2009: 3 pm at the Garden Education Center. Wednesday, November 18, 2009: 9:30 am - 1 pm Garden Education Center. Repeated at Audubon Greenwich on December 6. Saturday, October 25, 2009 : 2 pm -4 pm Join us for the first of four Park Walks at Binney Park in Old Greenwich to enjoy the splendor of the fall foliage. Led by Greenwich Superintendent of Parks and Trees, Bruce Spaman, this will be the first walk of 4 parks historically studied by landscape architect, Martha Lyon. Anne Young, Curator of Archives at HSTG will be on board to discuss historical aspects of Binney Park. Group size limited. Easy to moderate walking. Proper footwear is required.
